Every year I drag my daughter to Araluen to ‘see the tulips’ which is code for ‘mummy wants to take photos of flowers’… Even though we have been to the home of the tulip, Kenkenhof in The Netherlands which boasts over 7 million spring flowering bulbs over 32 hectares.
This time she brought a friend and they had great fun playing games and running around – with zero interest shown in the flowers.
I had to get in an interesting position to align the stem with the yellow flower behind it
I back-lit this flower so you could see all the ‘hairs’ on the stem. Taken with my 100mm macro lens.
My FAVOURITE image out of them all.
